About
30+ years in the studio and out in the field
More than 30 years of music production, DJing, sound design, engineering and location recording, has led to Tubedigga's unquestionable authority as an advanced educator in the beatmaking community. The specialism is standalone gear: grooveboxes, synths and sampling workstations, and above all the Akai MPC, providing unique workarounds, efficient workflows and solutions to common problems faced by music producers and live performers.
TD holds a first-class BA in Sound Art and Design from the London College of Communication. Whilst studying, some notable projects included the construction of an Aeolian harp, a live improvised performance with renowned composer and musicologist David Toop, plus a musique concrete score for Celeste performed by the London Sinfonietta Orchestra. Lastly, his dissertation on how environmental noise can be used as an artistic medium - advised by Toop - was a challenging and unique subject matter, one which had never been undertaken in the Sound Arts department.
